Man with a Hat and a Violin by Pablo Picasso 1912.jpg

The work pictured above is titled “Man with a Hat and a Violin” and was created by Pablo Picasso in 1912. This piece is a great example of simplistic design, for it is able to create an admirable visual of a person wearing a hat holding a violin of sorts. Through the use of lines and negative space, the viewer is able to complete the image of a man and violin; without the use of complex shading and lighting techniques. This piece of work is very much related to what we are currently doing in class because through the use of lines we are trying to create something beautiful and visually striking to the eye.
